A&A is an Alaska Native, woman-owned and operated consulting firm. Our mission is to help businesses achieve growth through improved governance, strengthened processes, and continuous improvement.

About A&A SOLUTIONS, LLC

A&A was founded by Owner/Principal Nicole Hallingstad who was inspired by the drive of her grandmothers, Amy Hallingstad and Alma Wallen, and named the company for the letters of their first names. Amy Yax Yeidi Hallingstad was Tlingit and a fierce champion for Alaska Native rights. Alma Wallen was Norwegian and one of the founders of the Little Norway Festival in Petersburg, Alaska. “My grandmothers were both strong, brave women,” said Nicole. “They were independent thinkers and problem solvers who, in the face of big challenges, were determined to find solutions.”

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Transformation can be exhilarating, but also inherently scary. To be effective, the human side of change must be considered. By shaping a holistic and long-term view of the change your organization is trying to accomplish, A&A can help your team members learn what to expect, manage their personal change experience, and engage the whole organization in the process.

ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN

The right alignment between resources, function, and people is central to smooth operations and growth. Every employee needs to understand the company’s objectives and their role in achieving them. Creating a united community motivates people to collaborate, innovate, and succeed. Leadership must be authentically committed to this collective effort and openly communicate. A&A can assist every step of the way.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

The people who do the transactions are the best ones to know how to improve them. Encouraging your people with support, tools, and time to find better ways to do your business is at the heart of good process.      A&A is equipped to provide training, resources, and the encouragement necessary to help all employees become problem solvers.
